How has your race/ethnicity informed your experience with living with HIV?

Rufina's Answer

In the Hispanic culture it’s taboo to talk about any embarrassing diseases. I was a pioneer in my family  to openly talk about my HIV status, then I learned two family members were infected with the virus years before me. I think I gave them the courage they needed to speak about it.
