How has your race/ethnicity informed your experience with living with HIV?

Mike's Answer

I really don’t know how my race or ethnicity has informed me, by any means, with my experience while living with HIV. It was never anything that was really a topic of discussion nor concern. I grew up in an average, low-income, white household with a single mother. The only thing I really ever heard about HIV was from middle school where they told us if we ever contracted it we would die. There truly is nothing I can say about how my race has informed me about HIV and living with it.
