How has your race/ethnicity informed your experience with living with HIV?

Jasán's Answer

My race/ethnicity gave me the impetus to become a voice for people living with HIV. There is still rampant stigma within communities of color preventing many people from getting tested, acknowledging positive test results, accessing treatment, and engaging in healthy sexual behaviors. The more people who look like me that are visible, talking honestly and openly about living with HIV, we have the power to change the course of this epidemic as we continue to move forward in the 21st century.
