What was your experience entering the workforce once you were diagnosed with HIV?

Rufina's Answer

When I first started out I was very nervous thinking if they know I have this virus will they like me? Will I be an outcast? I figure that’s the reason I was hired to talk, to make people aware of this disease. I had to continue because the more I did the more I helped myself to feel comfortable with every change that was coming my way. ┬áNow it is a part of who I am and I’m proud of myself because I was my number one enemy. Now I’m my own best friend. My advice for those newly diagnosed with HIV: Be yourself, relax and let people see you, how you are, you have nothing to worry about. Have confidence in yourself and others will too.
